Air Conditioning Problem

I am trying to pinpoint a problem with my A/C in my 94' diamante. A few weeks ago, my A/C stopped blowing cold air. I checked the obvious things... I Checked freon and it was good. I have found that my clutch isn't engaging. I know when I hit the A/C button it normally makes a click to tell me the clutch is engaging, but it isn't doing that at all. I have a new compressor, and I wanted to check to make sure that the clutch on the old compress was bad... So I just connnected the control cable to the new compressor(I didn't install it). I then tried to hit the A/C button to see if the new compressor clutch would make the click... It didn't. So now I am wondering if it is not the comrpessor at all. I checked the control relay in the fuse box under the hood, and it appears to be good. So I am now out of ideas. Something else that is strange, my 2 fans on my radiator aren't spinning as well, not sure if that is related. So to make a long story short... I have tried 2 compressors, and neither make the clicking sound when I turn on the A/C. Any ideas??

Thanks.

probably wiring, wire them directly to the battery just to see if clutch engages. as far as your fans they come on when the engine gets too hot or when your a/c comes on

I will have to try that. That is a good idea. oooh, I just found out that the guy who checked my freon was mistaken. My freon is empty. Will this stop a clutch from engaging, to where you don't even here the click?? Thanks again for that idea, I will try it tomorrow.
