guage pods

has anybody attepted to make guage pods? I am also going to "ATTEMPT" to put the inside of the door on with the door opening.

I had an idea on how to attempt this. Take either some plastic rod or tubing and cut it at an angle to match the door pillar and then cut the gauge pod to length, add a photoreduced gauge face and ta-da...gauge pod. Doesnt have to look very fancy, but I think it will work.
