Is it just me or does the G6 look exactly like the newer Neon's from the back? Cuz I saw one at the gas station the other day and when I was pulling up to it I was thinkin "oh ur cool in ur POS Neon"....but then I saw Pontiac and that was the only thing that I could tell the difference by from behind.

From directly behind the car it does appear slightly neon-ish (although the 16/17" wheels should give you a hint that it's NOT a neon) but as soon as you stand slightly to the side there's no way anyone is going to confuse a G6 for a neon. The cars lines are far sexier, plus it's a much bigger car. I can tell it apart instantly from a neon but I can see how some might have trouble, it also resembles the new cobalt/pontiac pursuit from the rear as well - which is slightly dissapointing.
I actually like the base v6's looks over the GT (although maybe I'm biased cause that's the one I got) - it looks a lot sleeker IMO without that rear decklid spoiler.

idk anywhere from the back or side I don't see the difference at a glance...from the front I can tell definitely...probably because you own one you notice all the details, where I wouldn't.

Glad somebody mentioned it because three times in the past month I thought I was a few cars behind a Neon and two turned out to be G6s and the other was a Cobalt sedan.
Not only is the resemblance to the Neon bad enough, the taillights on the G6 and Cobalt sedan are nearly identical. When the brake is applied, you can see that the G6s have horizontal lines running through them, Cobalts are "red clear".

I'm surprised I haven't seen any Cobalts yet, still wondering what they look like in real life.

Another car that looks like the Neon from the back is the Buick LaCrosse/Allure.

The G6 coupes look a lot like the Camry Solara too. Not in a bad way, but are similar.

I totally agree, I think the pursuit looks too much like a neon which is dissapointing and at the same time makes me glad that I got the last model year of the sunfire instead of the pursuit.

They were talking about the sedan model compared to the neon, not the coupe which wasn't introduced into the market when this thread was opened.... BTW, try not to bring up posts from 2 years ago. :nono:

I know.

Why not? Old threads make up a majority of the threads here. In an active forum, reintroducing old threads clogs the board, but I certainly don't see that occuring here.

Very true... Normally on a very active board they ( the mods) would get mighty upset seeing an old thread resurrected. They prefer to see a new thread vs an old one brought back up. Since the G6 forum is very quiet except for the occasional post, the mods won't get upset... for now. Until it becomes more active.
