Camshaft question

A guy I work with asked me something today and I told him to get on honda-tech and ask, but I thought I would ask here too. He has a 94 cx hatch with a b18b swap, with AEM CAI, DCsport header, and a Apex'i exhaust dunk I think. Well my question is what would be needed to run a stage 2 cam on his motor, safely. He ordered some of those OBX cams, and he said he had a set of STR cam gears. I told him he should get some springs annd retainers to , But I wasn't sure if he needed to upgrade his valves too. Thanx for any help.

Also the specs are supposed to be the same as Skunk2 stage 2 cams. found the specs on ebay LIFT/DURATION: IN. 400,232 EX. 388,250
