Just installed my US Speedo gauge cluster. It was a direct swap, didnt have to deal with applying the overlay on my stock gauges.

Also blacked out all my bowties so they are no longer that ugly gold color. Also ripped off the Cheverolet badging on the lift gate.
Up next is a drop kit and some 22s

Yeah, I installed on of these a couple weeks ago. Absolutley AWESOME overlays. Numbers are crisp both day and night. Interesting note....the warning indicators (cruise, check engine, etc) are the canadian symbols, instead of the US ones. Kind of cool looking actually....
Mine was programmed with the current truck mileage, but now I get a message to "Program Cluster" at certain points (getting in the truck, at some menu choices, etc.) Do you get these messages at all?

Ya I get the same program cluster note. Gonna stop at the dealership on Monday and have them program it. Alot of it still works but stuff like current MPG doesnt show up anymore

i would not chance taking it in to the serv department because your warranty would automatically be voided sence they would use the old excuse that their is no way of verifing the true millege since the cluster was swapt out, if you do take it in let me know what happens

Agreed. I don't know how I'm going to handle the mileage issue. I had my cluster programmed with mileage when I bought it, but I don't know what the GM service records show...I have to check those first.
Also, for anyone that buys one of these clusters, my speedometer is off about 4-5mph (verified to my GPS)...and it's low. So, when I'm doing an indicated 60, it's really more like 65! Doh! I'm going to have to fix that...

do you still have your old cluster, if you do all you have to do is swapt them when ever u take your truck to the dealer for service that way they wont even know that u had a diffrent cluster in their just make sure that you put atleast 75-100 miles into the clust before you go back in for serv if they say anything about why u have so little miles tell them "Hey im sorry if you only have 1 car, but i dont i have _?_ and the trailblazer is just my plesure ride since the gas milage on it is so great, yeah right." or anything along does line maybe nicer maybe more rude your choice. if your warranty is already over then dont worry about it since thay wont care and when u trade it in just make sure u dont let the sales mg see the miles untill (u) your self see it first that way he wont see the clust say that it needs prog

Two problems....
First, my old cluster is the base one, with no DIC. My new one has it and I upgraded everything to make it work (wheel, SIR coil, wiring, etc), so it isn't an easy plug and play.
Second, what you suggest is a federal offense, and I'd rather not be a part of some fraud thing like that....

now moving on to the fed offence its already a fed offense the minute u decide to trade/sell/give or anything that has to do with change of owner if you dont sign the section where it ask if the miles have ever been alterd in any way or form, wich u did their is no way of knowing if you were honest or not when u prog the new clust unless the Dealership them selfs take your old clust out and prog the new one and then put it back in.
any way im not responsible for you or anyone that chooses to follow any sugestion i give like u said its just a sugestion but ill tell this much the momment you or any person that is not autho by the Maker of the car (all makes) removes the clust for whatever reason and the maker of the car finds out your warranty is voided and plus by law you would have to inform any one who buys your car that You are not sure to the best of your knowledge if the miles shown on the clust are indeed the true and correct miles.
so unless u plan on giving up your warranty and having to pay for every type of serv unless its a recall
or
owning the car forever (very few people buy cars that dont have accurate miles) unless u decide to sell it for a very unresonable low low price. sence thats the only way youll get buyers other than freinds/family.

By Federal law, and I can get the section if you want, it is illegal to change/alter/etc the odometer in a vehicle unless is fails. If it does so, you have a choice of replacing the odometer with a new one set to the current mileage of the old one, or have it set at zero and place a sticker in the drivers door jamb noting the mileage of the vehicle when it was replaced. If you replace an odometer with one and set the mileage the same (as I did), then no sticker is needed and no statement saying that the odometer does not reflect current mileage is needed upon sale. If you go the sticker route, however, then as you note you have to sign the statement that the odometer does not reflect the true mileage of the car.

Again, NOT TRUE! If you ALTER the mileage, then yes, what you say holds. I did not, nor will. The manufacturer of the vehicle is not allowed to prohibit others from servicing the car, including the odometer. If, however, the mileage trail is NOT accurate, then of course they can void it. I agree 100% with that.

I do all of my own servicing, and always have. I just don't have a TechII to program the modules, so this is a dealer only item. I do have a local dealer that is going to do it for me under warranty....

None of what? I have done this legit and will stand by that. I replaced a cluster with one that has the sme mileage programmed into it. End of story. I'm legal.
