I keep reading posts about a "moosing" sound coming from the engine. I had the same problem with my '95. I searched a while on the internet and found that a common problem with Contours is the carbon build up that accumulates between the throttle body and the intake plenum. There are three notches (at the 5, 6, and 7 o'clock positions) that get clogged up with carbon. A little time, a new gasket, and a few tools can get it done. Take off the Throttle body and scrape out the carbon. That fixed my problem, also cleared up an EGR solenoid code that was in the computer.
