Shocks

I have a very well maintained 99' Blazer with 104k miles on it. I am on a second set of tires that are rotated every 8K. there is no sign of abnormal wear and handling at all speeds seems fine. When do you replace the shocks and which type and brand are good. I pull a light MX trailer about 3000k miles a year.
