what to do with a b16a2

i recently bought a 2000 civic si with a b16a2. theres a short ram aem air intake and thats it. looking at the previous owners records.. he was obsessed with maintance. its got around 69000 miles. i was just wondering what i can do with this engine to make it perform better. ive been planning and saving for i/h/e. should i keep the short ram? i was gunna either put on a magnaflow catback exhaust on apexi n1 or greddy evo. can't decide. help? what about ecu programming and ignition components? i dont wanna put a turbo on or anything. and if i put any of these mods on what are some pros and cons. would i have to put gauges on or anything? thanks alot.
