I know what a sway bar does but does it even make a differnece in your driving. I thought they only have an impact when your doing tight cornering like in road racing or SCCA events. Or do you guys put the bar on just for looks. Please let me know if the bar makes a big differnce. Thanks

Swaybars do make a difference. I do almost nothing to my cars just for looks.

Oh, and there is very little in the way of aftermarket swaybars available for the P10 and I think only a rear bar for the P11.

Also strut bars do they make a difference or are strut bars and sway bars the same thing.

They are not the same thing. An STB stiffens the chassis. A stiff chassis is important so the suspension can work properly.

I have both the front and rear struts and rear swaybar and it does make a huge difference when cornering and quick lane changes. The handling is superb if you floor your car.. you'll just feel how smooth the car is going over 100 into turns (not corners).

That's awesome. I know where the strut bars go in the engine bay and in the trunk but what about the sway bars. Can you post some pictures of each bar. I would like to take a good look before i buy them. Also where can i get strut and sway bars for a p10. thanks

The Swaybar goes underneath the car, pretty much parallel to the rear wheels. I tried to take some pictures of it underneath the car, but it was too difficult. I'll try again sometime soon.

As far as Struts/Swaybar for a P10, beats me .. I don't know :).

From Japan. I don't know of any made in The States.

Perhaps after I get some made for my 944 I can look into it for the G20. That will be a while though.

Over here we call the swaybars 'anti-roll bars' and unless I'm horribly mistaken, they are there to reduce body roll and aid handling.

Strut braces fit at the tops of the suspension towers and are there to reduce the flexing of the body during turns. The flexing tends to push the tops of the suspension towers together altering the suspension geometry. With a strut brace the whole setup becomes more rigid as the tops of the towers are prevented from moving, mainting the suspension geometry and improving handling, though you'll really know if you hit a lump in the road.

Hope it helps.
