too much compression. what can i do?

basically i was wondering if there are any head gasket makers out there than would offer an extra thick gasket to lower my compression a little bit. The kit i was ordering is set up for drag and the compression ratio with a 72cc head is like 10.8 to 1, I'll also be using aluminum heads. So is there any way i could get this down a little, maybe down somewhere around 10.5 or lower? thanks.

what kind of pistons are you using?

JE or SRP 11cc dome, they come with the 355 kit from world products.

i'm building a 355 also and my compression calculations call for dished pistons.

If you are using alumnium heads and FI 10.8:1 isn't too high, just make sure you keep the car in tune and if it is FI make sure your prom is dead on.

it will carb, and i'm using 195cc AFR heads, i will be running 93 octane only. Are you sure 10.8 is ok, because everybody's told me 10.5 is about the max?

Anyone who makes a metal headgasket will offer them in a variety of thicknesses (ive seen em' up to 2.4mm but im sure they'l go higher) If your using composite headgaskets you could also look into a steel or copper shim to lower compression..
