oxygen sensor

I just bought an oxygen sensor for my 93 s-10 and the guy from checker told me I needed to replace the spark plugs as well.He said I should replace them otherwise the O2 sensor wont work correctly My dilemma is that I just replaced them a little less than 2 months ago. Was he being for real or was he trying to sell me some extras. It seems everytime I go buy something they always try to sell you something extra.

Sounds like a load of manure to me, but others may disagree. If your plugs were old and if your truck was running rich a lot due to O2 I would replace them then, but not otherwise. I have not replaced the one in my 93 S10 Blazer as of yet, but have on cars. Never replaced plugs due to an O2.

Bullshit, replace the O2 sensor, reset the computer and drive.

But remember, it is best to do a full tuneup anyways.
