ok my wifes 2001 has a spark plug that keeps backing out, this morning it completely came out, it will turn over but is really loud so we havent moved it, will be getting towed home shortly.
it has been clicking latley, but all the fluids are there, hasnt been burning oil or anything still gets up and goes like it always has before this morning....
theres a pep boys within 2 miles of were its at but the second i mentioned spark plugs this idiot ( i'm sorry but pepboys may be good in your area, but in oklahoma if they have to think they send you some were else, and usually always cause a second visit if they do attempt to fix it.) is already talking "MAJOR ENGINE DAMAGE".

look inside the cylinder (spark plug holes) for coolent and ifu do see it that means u have failed head gasket

Your sparkplug is backing out? That happened to a friend of mines truck. There may not be a reason for it, just that the head got stripped. Did you do your own spark plugs? Have they been changed? sound to me like it got cross threaded then backed out then maybe stripped or something. I doubt a blow headgasket would cause your plugs to back out. The ticking is probabaly your valves, meaning you may have a bent lifter or something of the like. Only advice I can give you if it isn't under waranty, go buy some platnum plugs, ones that will last a long time and lock tite them in until you can get a new head.

that was my buddy who posted that i really have no clue what could be causeing it id say try his idea with the thread lock or ive even ran lil briggs lawn mower engines with thread tape on the spark plug to keep it in but id say the platnum plugs and thread lock sounds good

what is thread tape? theres barely enough thread to do anything with anymore...other 3 are great just the first one on the pasenger side.

Don't use thread tape, it might catch fire. I don't have any experience with it in hot locations. Use locktite, you can find it at any pep boys, just ask for it. I would also reccomend bosch platnum 4 plugs, or NGK Iradium plugs.
