im trying to change the oil on my friends sti, where is the oil filter located at and if u have pics it would help alot. thanx

If you don't know what an oil filter looks like, you shouldn't be changing the oil :lol:
The oil filter is under the front right side of the block, it's easiest to access it from the front since it's almost directly behind the belt guards.
You'll have to remove the undertray to get at it though, which isn't difficult at all.

To change the filter, you have to jack up the front of the car and remove the undertray. It's about 1/2 way between the front bumper and the firewall.

Your buddy has an STI and he can't change his own oil??
The owner's manual should have some illustrations and instructions as well.

Colors may vary. Also, removing the undertray every single time you have to change the oil sucks. It's almost worth paying someone else to do it. Almost.
