plaese help me find one

can anyone help me find a mid to late model 240? Do u think i could find one for at or under 5k? What are some things i should whatch out for? What are the cars weak /strong points? I would also apreciate any general agvice

you should have no problem finding an s13 for 5 grand. check for rust, oil leaks, ask the guy how many owners its had most of the time fewer is better, test drive it and see if you hear any funny noises.
i gaurantee if you look hard enough you can find a 240 with less than 100k miles, infact i'd only spend around 2.5k if at all possible, and with the rest of the money you could mod it.

can u b a little more specific about the years that ur looking for. b/c the cances of u finding a 97-98 for under 5k are slim to none.

So if i got a 95-96 which would be a better swap s13 or s14? I know the 14 is more powerful, but which is a better platform for mods? was is the price dif. between the two?

oops, you meant s14, yeah that will pretty much take up all of your money, also will be harder to find, but most likely will be in better condition.

the s14 is not more powerful than the s13, unless you're referring to the 89-90 where it barely outpowers them.
neither is necesarily 'better' for moding, but most likely your going to find an s14 with lower miles, making it more suitable for moding.

the following years have the following engine codes
89-90: ka24e
91-98: ka24de
the difference is the D which is dual overhead cams.

so the car you're looking at is a s14 and it has a dual overhead cam engine.

When he said the S14 was more powerful, he meant the S14 SR, he said thuis because he thinks the only way to do shit is the SR, he's never heard of a KA-T or an RB.

what swap are you talking about, i mean you could swap a cummings in their if you put your mind to it.

thanks tim that clears alot up for me, i apologize for not looking a little harder,logik why don't u think i should be looking at 240's just because i don't know much about them? Although i know little about this car i have restored 2 classic chevys and my car now has a swaped 5.7L LT1 that prob has more bhp than your car ever will, so please try and be a little more understanding in the future. Did i mention i am 18, and i have owned on my own merit atleast 6 cars to think of off hand? i think u should save your insults for some one else,thanks

but i read to swap a the RB26 into a s13 or 14 you had to notch the frame and do alot of mods thats all
