new car, first kill mustang cobra

ok,first of all is like a dream come true drive a civic SI. everithing start from my dad. I was looking for a domestic car like a mustang or even a camaro but my dad always says to me about how slow are those heavy american monster V-8 cars and how those high tech japanese cars destroy their asses.well so I take his advice(hi's mecanic) and we went to the dealer and we'd buy the car.
in the way home we saw some car coming behind us.it was a mustang cobra.my dad roll down the window and ask him if it is the supercharger,he said no. 2000 edition wich is good for 300 horses and 320 of torque I think.
we were in a red light and I'd ask him if he wanna go for it, he said ok but my dad was kinda mad with my because he doesn.t like street racing.
well we were both in thy typical 1. 2.3 and then we star runing,
first gear I did some wheel spin but then I got traction,2 gear he start pulling a little,3 gear we were neck to neck but then I hit 4 and VTECK kick the ground and I'd start pulling more and more. he was 3 cars behind of me at 105 mph and then I went down because I was kinda of scared. we tried one more time and the same result and then I took my way home.
I wrote this because of that I've being thinking, I mean how fast are becoming those imports rockets with is 4 cylinder and six,my father said he can't understand why domestic cars make cars with 8 cylinders suck 4.6 lt mustang or the old 5.7l ls1 on f-body and being so slow.
how they forgot to make light weight cars and most important power to weight ratio.
how heavy are those mustang.3600 lbs?

Maybe it was an older mustang cobra v6 "clone". I have seen alot of guys go through the trouble of putting the badges, wheels, body kit,etc of a cobra on their v6 stang. Their worst mistake is trying to put some sort of aftermarket exhaust on it.
I don't care what anyone says, there is no way you can make a v6 stang sound anywhere near a v8 stang.

Maybe we're all jumping to conclusions here. I have an cold air intake and aftermarket exhaust,by the way if you guys don't know my car has a big advantage because is much lighter than a mustang and yes, it wasn't any v6 with cobra badges or anything like it, was a real cobra 99 to be more specific

bullshit, you have what 160 HP, your car is good for a mid 15 second 1/4 mile. The cobra is a mid to low 13 second car. Go tell someone else about your wet rice dreams.

YOU IDIOT! you dont know shit about power to weight ratio. if you calculations are correct (and they are not) your car is 2900 lbs and 160hp his was 3600lbs and 300hp, that means he has better power to weight ratio! DUHH!
he has practicaly twice the power of your car, in order to have equal power to weight ratio his car would have to weight twice as much as yours to cancel out the fact that his motor is twice as powerfull, now does is sound like his car could weight in at 5800lbs? HELL NO.

anyways you think v-tec is like a turbo? you think v-tec only kicks in, in 3rd gear? V-TEC comes on in every single gear. since you have a B16A in your car you have a 8K redline which means your v-tec should engage at around 5.5K-6K rpm in every gear. you will hear the cam switch over as soon as you hit past that rpm.

so you drove it yet you still never notice the difference in sound. so thats obviously bullshit again.

also a stock Si is a freakin turd. they run 15's and will take around 20 seconds to hit 100mph. a cobra can do that in 14 seconds.

the only imports that can hang with v8's are either

1) turboed
2) engine swapped with weight reduced ( sorry but 2500 lb is not light enough for a 160hp car to run a 13 )

3) nitroused
4) supercharged.

thats it. end of story. i would put a good match with the older cobras. and i will blow your car away like its goin in reverse. and yes i drive a import so i know what i'm talkin about.

a intake and exhuast will give you around a 5-7whp again tops. which puts your whp to a whooping 140whp. lolz again, i make more then 100whp then you and i only weight 400 lbs more and i would have trouble beatin a non super charged cobra ( 95-98 ) and a non super charged 99+ cobras will beat me.

and by the way for the 3000GT guy's, a 99-00 Si weights 2500 lbs. i weight just a hair under 3000lbs even though my car stock weights 2800 lbs, but the larger brakes, larger rims, and turbo parts and the junk and the trunk will probrably add close to 200lbs in my car.

Honda4lover, you should have got the Civic SIX, its alot better than the SI, not to many people know about it cause they are made im limited numbers. BUt they put down close to 300 HP, AWD, and usually run low 8s in the 1320. They will smoke W-16's anyday.
