keyless entry keyer 2002 Sienna help needed here

I have a second keyless entry keyer but tried different instructions and cant get it programed or to respond (the mini-van) I am getting frustrated Thinking of going Chrysler next time ( well not really ) but if any one can help I sure would appreciate it. Mine is the 3 button on front with the red LOCK button on top and the flush rear side passenger driver side door on the back side (whew try saying that in one breath and making sense) GQ43VT14T is the FCC id on the back at least thats what it looks like now. If the remote has a remote starter included then you have to make sure that the car is running when you try it. If not the i think you have to have the rear hatch open. Either way take the key and the van to the dealer and they will have it done in seconds for very little money.
