quick ? about boost control

when you have an automatic boost controller can you simply change the boost in terms of psi from inside the car?
is it possible to cause problems by changing the boost too often? (hypothetically, if you changed the boost every time you drove could anything go wrong?)

What do you mean by "automatic boost controller"? Are you talking about a manual boost controller or an electronic boost controller?
There are quite a few boost controllers that you can adjust from inside the car (obviously including the electronic ones). One problem with constantly changing your boost is that the engine won't be properly tunes for ignition and air/fuel. If you really want to change the boost, I'd suggest either 1)getting it professionally tuned to 2 different boost ranges and have them tell you where to adjust it to or 2)get it professionally tuned and spend the $ to get an electronic boost controller, so you can adjust it properly. But constantly changing it for different boost levels would be a bad idea.
