Finnaly Got To Change The Fuel Pressure Reg. Today, But When I Removed The Upper Intake There Was Oil Laying On The Intake . Puddles In Some Ports. Sorry Truck Is A 96 K 2500 W/350 Next Step Was Compression Tes Which Produced Between 177 And 182 Psi. Through All 8 Cylinders Can Sombody Give Me Some Thoughts On Where To Look And What To Check. updating i was reading about problems with pcv valve letting to much oil in going to change it out any way but some input would be nice.

It probably is the PCV valve.... what I did is cut the big hose in half, put a small hose inside both halves, and clamped it on both sides. The small hose reduces the vacuum at the valve cover, and provides a "wall" the oil has to climb to get past it.

I missed the model year when I read your post the first time... make sure there are no sensors that could be thrown off by that... I think it should probably be fine tho

hey thanks for the reply, i will try that i am not setting any codes off now so if it does i will just play with it untill i dont, im only getting 52psi of fuel pressure through the regulator(with the return pluged it jumped to 80) now im wodering if the regulator screen is just plugged with oil or if should go ahead and replace it. anyways thanks for the response.

i had a blazer at work that was filling the intake with oil, turned out to be a bad lifter. if you ran it with the valve cover off it would shoot oil right into the pcv valve. also check for clogged oil drains in the head or a damaged baffle in the valve cover.
