big bug project mods

Hello i'm thinking about putting a small v-8 mid engine in my 1973 volkswagen bug has anyone i heard of any websites on this or anything. i've heard of it being done twice before and i don't know any websites on it.
I have an idea what i would like. but i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas

yeah man...i have definately heard of doing that...i dont of any good websites for it. but i work at a vw repair shop and the most compatible v8 is a porche engine...its a bit pricey but worth it...i drove one like that and it FUCKING FLEW. I dont remember exactly what engine it was but i think he paid aboot $1200 for it and that was the sickest thing ive ever driven...i say go for it br0
