Hi Guys,
I was driving Mums Mazda last night and had a pretty serious acco. I had a mate with me and we're both all right. THe car's probably a write off. I owe Mum and Dad several K $. I am screwed. ANy advice? Suggestions? Comments? Just feeling severely screwed over and empty right now. Help. Oz.

Glad to hear you are alright
Since you got so many cars (from the bit under your name) sell one of them and pay them back?

They are his parents cars though. What happened? Are you at fault? I suggest you may have to organise with your parents to pay them off bit by bit or something. you need to suck up real bad!
Glad to hear you and friend are ok.

#1 You're alive
Ummm... that's it - you think that your folks care about the car as long as you're ok? :)
Well ok, they'll be pissed off about the car, but cars can be replaced.
Anything that you walk away from intact should leave you happy, not empty mate. :)
I wrote off a friend's car in year 12 - flipped it onto its roof after fishtailing on a dirt road. The two of us got out, flipped the car back onto its wheels and drove back to school (damn 180Bs were tough). It was a shit, but I walked away. My folks (and the owner) were pissed off but it was only metal and plastic and being alive counted more.
So don't feel down over it at all.
Other than that - let your folks know how you feel about it all. Offer to pay their excess out etc.
But seriously mate - you're alive, that's what matters :)

Thanks for all the words, guys. Well...what happened? Hadn't driven i a while and going for a drive. Around a right hand sweeper doing about 65 when tapped the brakes at the wrong time and hit some gravel. Slid the bitch into trees down an embankment. Thant's it. Feeling a little better now. C'yall.

Sigh - never tap or use brakes when cornering - you immediately unsettle the car... says the guy who nailed the brakes when a fishtail got a little wild - hence the flip onto the roof after clipping a piece of grass :)
Good to hear all is well mate :)

Good to hear all is well, better to brake before the corner next time, but you learn from your mistakes anyway.
