golf2 front jacking points

('89 mk2 golf gti 8v rhd)

i'm about to replace the steering rack and front dampers. i have two trolly jacks and a pair of axel stands. as i'm going to be under the car for a while doing all this work, i'd prefer to have it on the axel stands, and not the jacks.

i don't want to damage any of the suspension or bent the body, so my question is, what can i jack the car up on so i can get the axel stands under the front jacking points?

Jack it by the lower control arm, then put in the stand on that side & do the same for the other side.
