Hi, I have an olds cutlass 1997 and its same as malibu front end, SO, My brother hit a curb broke hub, and i am replacing from axel outward, now when I removed the bad parts, the axel came out after i took the boot off, but then when i got the new parts fro mthe junk yard, I noticed that I dont have to take the boot off the new one, there is a splined part that has a dust coller on it, and it is like 8 inches long, it goes into the tranny, then from that part you can insert the axel in, so my question is how do i get this part out of the olds, so i can just stick the whole new assembly in instead of taking the boot off and then putting this part in, I know im being confusing but if there are any questions, I can show a pictrue if needed, thanks.

If your talking about the inner cv joint you put a pry bar behind it and pry it out of the trans axle.
i had to hit the pry bar with a hammer to remove the ones ive done.
If your nervous about this process buy a hanes manual from a auto parts store, it has pictures
