Hi all, I'm new here. Was wondering if anyone could help me out with this anamolie thats been going on with my Jetta.
Yesterday I noticed, after shutting off the car, that the front fan hadn't stopped. I thought it was merely still cooling the engine, but when I returned to the car 2 hours later it was still running! It appeared to be running faster than usual too-- and pretty loud. For fear of draining the battery over the night I had to disconnect it from the battery. Any ideas why this is going on?
Much thanks in advanced,
Mike

Try unplugging the thermoswitch on the radiator, it is probably stuck. Hopefully no-one has modified your wiring as that is very common.
