hey im a new owner of an audi 2001 A4 2.8 quattro manual ...i need advice on upgrades and wut i should put in .

The only mod I have on my 2.8 right now is the B&M shortshifter, so I am going to tell you what Ive been told in this forum, anything but the SC is a waste of money. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong

the exaust i think will add some power although you are rgiht about the air intake it will give you a batter sound though how ever if u get the supercahrger and then chip it will give you a noticable power if its just a 2.8 you wont

yeah i want an intake but i cant seem to find one that is compatible with my car except for the lltek one..thats about 244 dollars im lookin for a cheaper one since i running low n cash...u think i should just get a custom one n how much do u think that will cost me

SC is just Super Charger and it you want to go cheap i was lookign aeound and i found out that u can get just a cone filter for 50$ and that will so just as good as the iteck one. Waht happens is the ram or the tube part of the intake point it away from the engine for less heat how ever it point it down to the exaust manifold which is even hotter so ther for the ram is worse for the intake. not only that when you remove your air box for the cone filter to go in it will let air run through it and will keep the hot air from it. and a heat sheild will help to. so all in all just buy a cone filter and it will be jsut as good.

if youre running low on cash dont even get an intake...at most you might squeeze out two hp...and at whatever price is it...its probably too much...but you can do whatever you want...its not going to give any noticable difference in power...the 2.8 is not an engine that is good for someone tuning on a budget...thats just the way it is

Dont worry about it. We all started off not knowing anything at some point. if you want to know any specific info, try a search in this forum, Ive found that most of the stuffs been covered befor, even what we're talking about right now. Back on task, these guys are right, the intake is a waste of money, right now you have cold air coming in through the grill

pes-tuning.com has GIAC chips, I think another one was adr or something like that, the only one I know about is pes-tuning.com though.
