How easy is it to break into a 2005? I just had all my tools ripped off last night, and no signs of forced entry. I know I locked the doors.

I've heard of people slim jimming the doors in < 2 minutes. I'm sure someone who had practiced on the same vehicle could do it much more quickly.

it doesn´t matter wha year the truck is, they have been using the same latch for the last 20 or so years

I just found out that i'm an idiot! I have an alarm system I didn't know I had. I should have payed attention to the fleet manager when he was explaining all the features.

What did you find out aobut your alarm? I know I have theft lock or something like that, but I don't know much about it. I hate to hear your truck was broken into, I hate to hear about anyone's truck being broke into. I had a car stolen once and it left me feeling insecure for weeks. I went so far as to purchase my first, of now many handguns.

Well apparently if u push the remote lock button twice the head lights and horn will go off if any entry is made without the proper deactivation. I am paranoid now, I jumped up out of bed 3 times last night and ran outside (in my boxer shorts) because I heard a sound. And yea I got alittle gun happy too, bought a 45 handgun last time I was ripped off. Twirled it around a few times for my friends, pointed it at the mirror a few times, then put it away, never used it again.I hate theives!

i have used a slim jim to get in my 2001 it took me all of 5 minutes and i have only used a slim jim once in my life

i have also watched a lock smith get into a new body style chevy and a new ford 150 and a 250 SD it was alot easier for him toget into the fords than it was the chevy took him about 10 secs on each ford and about 2 mins on the chevy

Wrong. You may not be able to use the old Slim Jim style but the newer rods they have out now work just fine.
