Resonator Removal

Yes, I searched, couldn't find relavent stuff. Is taking the resonator off of my 94 accord ex a good idea? I heard it's an easy way to gain hp for free. If so, how do I get it out (step by step). Also, are there any free / close-to free mods that I can do? (working on a highschool budget)

Thanks... :)

i never heard of that. I took mine off to install my cold air intake, it was kind of heavy though. I don't think that you will get more power if you do not sure though.

Intake Resonator? Honestly, I never heard of such thing like intake resonator. But if you meant the exhaust resonator, yes, it gains horsepower, don't know how much. It's loud driving without the resonator though, but if you're thinking to remove the resonator, I think there might be some minor modifications done.

intake resonator, in my opinion is just a big hunk of shit, in the way. I mean really, once you take out your stock box, its silly to leave it in there. Not much to taking it out, and really is not going to make much of a difference, buut its added unessesary weight, that in my opinion just is in the way of airflow.......probably isnt that big of deal, buuut i took mine out =)

I recommend jacking the passenger side up, then its as simple as taking off the bottem plastic guards, like it has three vents in it. That is rather simple to take off, just find the bolts and take it off, then its just a matter of finding the 2 or 3 bolts on the resonator. Some people would say you could take it out through the fender wall, buuut i wouldnt recommend that b/c seems tight, and thats just not what i did, soooo your call.
