dumb questions

okey uh yeah this might be a dumb question and i know some of you are going to somehow make smart alec comments but like .. Why are some 240s or 180s called "RP"S13s? What/Where does the RP come from????

There's the RPS13, the PS13, the RS13 and the S13.

RS13: 180SX with CA18DET
RPS13: 180SX with SR20DET
S13: Silvia with CA18DET
PS13: Silvia with SR20DET

engine chassis codes that nissan used back in the days for the silvia s13's. Its to distinguish one from another...

okey well with that answerd here another dumb question lol .. I thought that S13s came with KAs .. where do those come in .. or are those the same as CAs ...

240sxs are usdm 180sx/silvias.And come with KA24(D)E.I dont know anything more other than the 89-94 cars are called S13s.I guess the term S13 is used to distinguish the chassis more than the engine.

simply put US 240sx have ka series engines. All other engines for 240's are jdm.

180sx-CA18DET-1.8l
silvia-SR20DET-2.0l
240sx-KA24DE-2.4l and some have KA24DE(T):evillol:
