2002 Nissan Altima 3.5 problem?

Is the timing control valve covered by the warranty? And what is a timing control valve? I took my car to the dealership because the service engine light came on and thats what they said was the problem. Am I safe to continue driving on it? Thanks

If you have a 2002 you should have warrranty. If not then your responsible. Is it safe to drive that depends on the chances you are willing to take. It may cost you nothing to break down and get a free AAA tow or it can leave stranded in the middle of the night on a loonely road without cellphone coverage and a dead car battery and two flats no spare, Ahh you get point.
