Okay i have a question....... I have a 94 camaro and i plan on shaving the door handles off... and when looking @ shaved door handle kits i wasnt really sure what all needed to be included in the kit. So if someone would please tell me what all needs to be included so that i dont have to go back and order more parts to finish the job later it would be greatly appreciated!!!! and if anyone has suggestion to which brand to get that would be great 2!!! One of my buddy's told me i should go with SPAL.... good choice or not?

I thought that shaving your doorhandles meant taking out the handle, and filling the whole with bondo, then primering, and painting. You would then have to get a remote and wire it so that it would open your door, but this can be expensive.

if I were you id take it to a custom shop that installs alarms, stereo systems ( i mean like real shit not circuit city or whatever.) but they will tell you everything you need to know.

I would just do the shaving of the door handle myself. Just take the door handle off, get some bondo, slap the bondo on the part of the door that had the door handle on it and grab some sand paper and smooth it out until it almost flush with the rest of the door then grab some fine sand paper and smooth it out some more, then primer and paint. It isn't hard to do but just alittle time consuming depending on how flush you want it to be. And if you are scared of screwing up your door go grab a door from a junk yard they are no more than $50 and practice on that.
You have to rewire the whole remote door unlock which is basically taking the unlock wiring and wiring a hydrolic "kicker" as my friend calls it. So when you it the unlock button it unlocks and kicks the door out so it opens for you. Depending on your knowlegde of cars this is something you might not want to do on your own. I wouldn't tackle this without a friend that really knows what they are doing or just take it to a shop. If you really want to do it on your own I would suggest doing the passenger side door first just in case something goes wrong and you get into your driver side door.
This is a fun project to take on but it will take you about 18 hours to do the project. Good luck with it.
Required items:
Keyless entry
Hydrolic
Hydrolic mounts
Wiring for hydrolics
Bondo
Sand paper

The way I've always heard of it being done is like this:
You have a seperate wireless reciever unit, that triggers a servo motor. The servo motor is mounted to the mechanics of the door latch mechanism, so when you press your wireless entry button(that comes with the wireless reciever unit), it operates the door latch - as if you were pulling the handle. Then there is a small steel 'popper' that mounts to the area where the door meets the body. It pushes, or 'pops', the door open an inch or so, so you can fit your fingers in there to pull the door open the rest of the way. There is no need for any kind of door locks with this system. As long as you don't mount an 'crap i forgot my remote' button on the outside of your car(usually on the underside behind a frame rail or something), its practically impossible to get into the car without smashing a window. These kits cost about $100 for the wireless reciever, 2 remotes, 2 poppers, and 2 servos. I'm doing this to my '69 mustang, but I'm getting the 4 door version(around $160) so I can pop my trunk and hood too.
