Rear View Mirror

I have a 1997 silverado with the auto dimming mirror with the compass I notice during start up it shows The "f "and "C" for a temperature reading is it possible to add a temp sensor to this or would i have to buy a whole new mirror assembly and temp sersor etc???

There is probally a sensor that you can buy for it and it plugs into it somewhere? If not probally a whole new assembly. Check your owners manual.

Found another post that says its a generic display thats the reason for the f and c but no temp option i just bought a different mirror on ebay and will be installing it later this week
