Hey guys, I recently put in an aftermarket stereo (Finally finished my custom sub mount for the hatch...looks pretty good, and the Kicker L7 hits like a mother fuc****!!) and when I put my CD face all back on the heat control lights dont work. Sometimes they work, but most of the time they dont. I didnt even take that part off, so I dont know how I could have messed any of the harnesses up. Has anyone else had this problem when installing their stereo. If so, how did you fix it...because I know it's not the light bulbs themselves. Thanks

check to make sure the wiring harness from your headunit is not wedged up against the wires for the heat control lights

I got the 12" L7 in a Subzone Box built for it. Ive got Kicker Midrange, and tweets. A Kenwood KDC-X979 Head unit with a KAC-X811D amplifier for my woofer, and then a Kenwood KAC-X541 multi channel amp for my mids. And a 2 Fahrad Tsunami Capacitor for my sub amp. I made a custom insert out of 3/4" MDF to replace my stock spare tire cover, and then I mounted the amps and capacitor to my sub box, mounted the sub box to the MDF, and then put the whole thing on 3 hinges attached to the frame of the car. Not only does this allow me to still access my spare tire, it also makes the whole thing very very hard to get out of the car. Next im getting the Kenwood Keg...that will be fuckin awsome.
