93 explorer noise

hi i got a 93 explorer 2 door sport manuel with 4 wheel drive. When ever i start it i hear a grind noise right as the starter stopes cranking and the engine fires and it also will sometimes shake the vehical. its coming from the lower right of the passenger side. this is if yuor sitting in the dirvers seat. sometimes it is loud and shaked the car sometime sit is emi loud and does not shake. Some told me it could be a clutch spring or something but i could be wrong but logic would tell me it would be on the same side as the clutch. any ideas??thanks

i also have had this problem in my 95 explorer ( also manual) for about 2-3 yrs now, i would love to get this fixed simply because it sounds terrible, but i have never really felt the car shake because of it. If anyone else has had this problem, please reply with any other ideas. thanks!
