worst design ever, i think the front is acceptable but the tail....... terrible :screwy:

well that isnt 100% what the car will look like, thats just mock ups of what people think it will look like

i hope it doesnt look like that, the tail lights kind remind me of another car, its off the tip of my tongue. Either way thats a crappy look to it.

Surley subaru wouldn't let that thing out. It looks way to much like a Alfa. Also those pics are photoshoped? the hood scoop is WAY to big.

i also hope it is the first design, the designer was from Alfa

I like the front. It's like an F1 design, kinda like what Mercedes is doing to their recent models. To me, the car looks more pissed off. >=D but the back... eh. :/

Looks like somebody crossed the Tribeca and Impreza.....

It's obviously a photoshop job, just look at the rear photo, the shading is done very poorly between the tail lights making it obvious.

Jesus.....can't Subaru stick with a design for more than 5 minutes?? They just came out with this new body just two years ago......

Since Subaru plans on having the 2006 models on the lot by June, I am pretty confident you guys are buying into a hoax.
If Subaru was planning on this change, they would have announced it already, which they haven't.

The front does look like a Tribeca-WRX cross like someone said. Doesn't the rear look like that of the Legacy/outback??

I wish they would stop screwing around with trying to change the whole image of the car unless they have a major model change. It would be the 2nd face lift on virtually the same car, isn't it??

The design webwombat has been playing off as the 2006 model is a concept Subaru presented back in early 2004 as a 2006 model:

There has since been no decision to present it as a 2006 model, it may however become available in late 2006 as a 2007 model!

As it turns out, the game WRC2 has a 'Subaru concept' racer which is the rally car webwombat show, and I guess jumped on the bandwagon with :loser:

On the brighter side, Subaru have plainly stated their intentions to stick with the current design at least through 2006 with the usual minor tweaks to improve the car.

ya they come up with this design before they come up with the one i show, i personally think this one is better than the one i shown

(shudders in disgust) That new Tribeca is hideous. Alfas are ugly enough, let's not bring their styling to Subarus. The huge trapezoidal center grille looks stupid on every car it's ever been on.

as far as the interior, its a waste on that car. they should put THAT into a WRX.

Well, my wife was waiting to upgrade from her forester to this "new 7-seater", but once we looked at the pics and dimensions, we decided not to go with that since it doesn't look quite big enough. So we just went out and bought her her a 2005 MDX---nice. I'll take a look at the Tribeca once it comes out, but it's really hard to beat the MDX. Meanwhile, I'll wait for the 300ps Forester STI to come out so that I can replace my 2004 WRX. Wouldn't it be nice to smoke those BMW3's, RSX's, Mustangs with an....SUV/Wagon thingie??

Well...I thought that it was an SUV, but after driving around in the MDX, it really is an SUV/Wagon thingie... however, turbocharged Forester is still a lot of bang for the buck. It puts Porsche Cayenne to shame. If they can make it look a little better and if they can come up with an STI Forester, it might be a serious contender for my next car, really.

if the Forester STI come to north america, i will be the first owner of the car cause i really like the Forester STI and i am lookin' for somethin' that is japanese, roomy, and of course with turbo so i can smoke my frds' x5 :smokin:

Yeah, they make a Forester STi in Japan. It's pretty cool. You can get the STi parts and build your own if you were really determined to have one.

good idea but i dun like the idea of a regular forester pretend to be a STI, i want a real, pure forester STI

no! You can really make your own! Just get the STi parts (STi is an organization, not a trim level) and the vast majority of them bolt right up to the 2.5XT (Forester STi parts, not Impreza STi parts).

I don't think it will look like this personaly...
I went to a car show ( 2005 ) and they usually show the cars coming out the year after, so 2006 and the impreza was the same as 2005, so I stay confident :D

It's pretty bad looking, but it could be worse. I hope they change it before 2007.

Taillights look like the old Integra's.
