After reading the threads about the 1992 Taurus stalling problem, and after posting my own, I replaced the IAC Valve today. This solved part of the problem. I am able to drive the car without stalling, but the second part of the problem is still there.
I can drive the car, even a short distance and once I get say 12 or so miles, stop at the grocery store say, come out and the car won't start. A good example was tonight -- I left my house, went to the bank that is about 12 miles or so (12 is random) stopped to get gas...was stranded at the gas station for 2 hours because the car wouldn't start. It does everything it's supposed to do but something not's sparking it to start...
Anyone else had this problem? We are now thinking it's the Ignition Control Module, but I wanted to check here and see if anyone has any ideas?
Thanks in advance... :banghead:

Does the car do anything when you turn the key? If you get absolutely nothing... no fuel pump noise, no dash lights, no PDL or PW operation, then have the car checked for a loose ground wire. Our 1995 had an intermittant ground in the drivers door that caused the exact same problem you are having. The problem baffled two electrical shops before we took it to a dealership, where they fixed the problem in about 1/2 hour.
Good luck!
