I heard of parking in tight spots but damn. Cool you had the camera, it might come in handy later on.
Question, how much space did he have behind him?

Tip - if you're parking pissed, get someone else to do it or use a handicap spot. :)

what a n00b!
If some prick did that to my car, I would do a little more than just a heated discussion (involving my steering lock).
My dad had a prick like that park infront of him, what a stupid dickhead, my dad has a 4x4 pajero WITH bullbar :screwy:, what, he thought my dad didn't have the guts to manually move his car with his? Not much damage, but he got out.

What dumbass, did he leave the parking brake off, or was he really so stupid as to hit your car and not think it's owner would notice anything?
It'd have been funny, had you gotten somebody to move their car right behind his so he couldn't get out.

This happened to one of my friends. He was in Church, and some old lady hit his car, and drove off. The guy convinced the pastor to give a sermon about honesty, and the following week after the sermon the old lady confessed about the accident.

Just looking at all the other parking dings in his bumper I can tell that parking was never his forte.

"Satan moved my car..."
I'd have spent the time waiting for him carving him a nice new bumper sticker.

Damn Swoxy... that sucks to say the least. I can't stand it when people try to deny the undeniable...
And TS, parking in the UK is such a bitch, spots are so tight you often have to tap the bumper of the car behind you, then the one in front (repeat) until you manage to squeeze in. Obviously no one told this fool that when you tap the car in front of you, you stop, and not keep going :disappoin

So did you get his insurance info? Besides the fact that he's an idiot, he does owe for your damages, and that's probably a $400 repair.

That’s why I got a trailer hitch when I first got the car. I’d get some of that 3M stone-guard film if I had the money. In my neighborhood it’s common to come out of your house to go to work in the morning and find a new scratch from the ass who parked in front or behind you the night before! Buddy, I feel for you! Oh, and by the way, from the looks of his car Jimster’s right! He can’t park! Or he just don’t give a shit!

Once on a day that there was alternate side of the street parking (for those that don't know, its when you have to move your car to the opposite side or elsewhere so the cleaning truck comes by to clean the street), anyway on one of those days, there was no cars at all on the whole block except one car at the corner. Another car comes and parks in front of him and manages to bump into him while backing up. WTF, with a whole block of no cars he still manages to hit the car. He was mad as hell. Some people.

It's the aftermath of a small accident, trying to replace the wheel at the moment!

Hey smoxy...what i recomend, let his insurance COMPLETELY repaint/fix your bumper...period... :smokin:
BE A SOB about it...or else you'll be stuck with a marred up bumper. :2cents:
Lol, on a sidenote....how's this.. Last spring, i worked at a shopping mall, and had a beater with lots of dings/dents in the body for driving to work. The car was a pos, but i still liked it.. Anyway, one night after work, about 9:45pm i go to my car, and see that this dickhead with a late 80's IROC Z camaro had parked with his front bumper right on my front bumper-like your pic. :sly:
I'm not talking just barely touching...i'm talking when i backed up, my bumber went EEE-EEE.. you know that horrible noise.. :banghead:
Anyway, i back up, and drove on the side of his car, and i turn sharply to the left, making my rear drivers side smudge his entire backend. It felt sooooo good.. :evillol:

Hopefully he's just poped the bumber of its clips, and it will be an easy fix.
It would be a right PITA to try and get an damages out of him, espcialy if its below your insurance excess and he wants to be a prick about it.
As for bad parking?
In the last 3 months Iv had:
A courier park on top of the tail lift of my truck.
Lets just say that with a 500kg capcity and the ablity to lift more it had no trouble re-aranging the front of his van. oops.
Some idiot in a new SAAB 9-5 decieded to park too close to the back just as I was trying to open the tail lift (it swings up flush with the back of the truck). I told her several times to move back, when she didn't I asked her if there was enough room for me to open the lift. She said yes and walked away. So I did. 200kgs of solid steel swung down straight onto her indicator light. Opps.
Most recently a Taxi driver decied to park UNDER the lift, while I was standing on it. I asked him politly to move and he just looked at me. I had to kick his bonnet before he would move. Next time Ill just let the lift down :)
Parking anywhere is dangerous though, no matter how careful you are, someone somewhere will get to close to your car and damage it.
Modern cars with plastic bumbers are pretty good, they usualy have lots of flex in them and can absorb quite a lot of abuse.
But nothing beats an old 60s or 70s classic with lots of chrome
