Yeah..those numbers are so unrealistic. You're probably making about 150hp if you're lucly right now. Your only hope is a supercharger.

im not real sure one this, but i think the only difference in the 98 to the 99 engine is the intake and the intake manifold. theres a 40 hp difference between the two. idk what kind of cost youd be looking at but a new manifold couldnt hurt u any.
also how much money do you have to work with

thats without supercharging or turbocharging

Uh. You know how hard it is to run 11s with a V8 4.6 naturally aspirated? Hows a V6 gonna do it? It must be full drag...

it would be hard, i never said N/A though, it had a wet shot. but still no turbo or supercharger. but u can go on the website and look for yourself, they even have the time slip from the track.and u gotta think to run that fast even with the wetshot the guy has to have well over 275 hp.

Having a completely warmed over engine, you might hit about 200. That's higher compression, stroked to 4.2L~4.4L, ported heads, intake. a serious cam, roller rockers and so forth. The cost would not really be worth the effort unless your going to put a blower on it. You can add a T-bird SC blower, which you can cheaply find at junk yards. I helped a guy do that. We hit 250hp and 336ft-lbs of torque, but we also had the blower warmed over, and the heads had work on them. the engine basically was rebuilt, stroked and slightly over borred to 4.3L. For the money spent, he could have done a GT engine swap. It was done more for personal gratisfication, and considering that he was easily keeping up with STOCK 99 GT's..... it was well worth the effort, untill the tranny went. Then he had to spend $2800 for a aftermarket tranny, clutch and so forth. I think after everything was said and done, total cost for a complete rebuild of the car was around $14k.
Basically, engine, dynotune, blower, tranny and suspension. About half the money was spend on the suspension alone.

Well just image a 3000lbs SN95 with a suspension, and power. It's good for auto cross. I wish I could get my 3610lbs GT down to 3000lbs......

If you wanna lose weight ..gut ALL your interior, remove your stereo, remove your A/C, and then replace every possibly part you can with other lightweight parts. And then you might be close.

Actually I am already working on that. I have already removed about 90lbs from the car...
But, I am not going to strip the car, I HATE THAT...
I already have a game plan, and I have already removed weight by going with lighter weight aftermarket componets. I did add weight with the 03 Cobra IRS, but I have something to address that issue with, thanks to Kenny Brown and his tubular A-arms for the IRS.
