I have done research on transplanting a ej20 or sti engine in a 72-86 porsche 911. I was woundering if anyone knows what is all involved, i have found a kit that include adapter plate, flywheel, pilot bearing (set) & bolts (dust shield if needed), so this should bolt the engine right up to the transaxle no problem...but i was woundering about wiring and placement of the radiator, or anyother problems you could think of.

Any other problems.....I can think of loads

How are you going to mount the intercooler?
You'll have to get an expert to run the plumbing for the radiator since compensation has to be made for pipe lengths amongst other things.
What gearbox are you using?

i'd be using the stock porsche 915 five speed transmission.

You'll probly need an oil cooler, radiator, and an intercooler all custom made, and the plumbing will be intense. If it works post pics!

A custom oil cooler, radiator, and intercooler will have to be made. THe plumbing will look like mouse trap. THe exhaust is gonna be one weird ass looking thing. If it works show us pics

How does the radiator on the 911 work with the stock engine? Why wouldn't it work with the ej20t? I know next to nothing about the inner workings of Porsches, having never been affluent enough to own one.
