i wrote a while back and said that my geo wasnt getting good gas milage and compression was down in all thre cylinders to about 130 across the board i figured it had to be the timing if all three went down at once so i started it and moved the distrubitor and sure as hell it started running much better the timing belt is less than 8 monthes old and less than 10 thousand miles i put it on myself and know it was as tight as it could be i was wondering if the timing belts in the geos are known for slipping or if something was wrong with something electronical to make it do this

Ignition timing and valve timing are 2 completely different things. Either won't affect your compression. If your valve timing is so far off you're losing compression, you'll have 0 compression. What you did is advance the ignition timing. Be careful. You could get dangerous pre-ignition like that. Your compression will remain VERY low, but the output of the engine will be up. Agressive ignition timing will result in lower gas mileage, and pre-mature engine wear.
