Shock absorber question??

Greetings,

I have a 2002 LS V8 with the factory Sport package, with 50,000. I am almost ready for new shock absorbers. Does any one know the difference between the Original Equipment Sport Package shock absorber and the European part?

Thanks,

I'm currently running the European units on my '00 sport. They are noticably stiffer than the sport shocks. They can be a little tiring on the frost-heaved rust belt roads here in the IN/OH/MI tri-state area. At 80 and above, they smooth out nicely! My lowered LS running the Euro shocks and rolling on 45 series tires feels a LOT like a C4 Corvette.

Thanks for the info; I would be concerned about bringing my LS any closer to the pavement than it already is. I live in New Jersey and travel into NYC quite a bit, the roads around here are…well…. challenging at best, if you know what I mean, with the car eating pot holes, etc .

One more quick question, what color code are the European units?

Thanks,

Never noticed... I ordered from www.Fordpartsnetwork.com (http://www.Fordpartsnetwork.com) and had them installed at the local dealership. I never actually saw them!

So lincoln used different shocks in the european model? Does the same hold true for the LS6?

I believe so, but don't quote me.
