so yesterday i got my gears put in and got a dyno run set up for next mon. and one of the guys at the shop was like we should run cars. i thought the guy was trippen because i know hes done some engine work to his car and a few small mods but i have dumped a few grand in my car in upgrades ( the best ones i could find for my car) so i was like what the hell why not. the worst thing is he could come back to the shop and tell everyone how he killed me right...well wrong. after he got off we went to this back road where alot of the guys race at and we lined them up. when we started i screwed up on my clutch release and i just knew it was over, but amazed how much of a difference a gear upgrade could go i managed to get the half car lead he had on me by time i hit 4th i couldnt even see him next to me. now im surprised so when we get to the end im like lets do it again. i couldnt beleave i beat him. so the next race was good at first, we were neck and neck untill 3rd and i started pulling away from him again, i hit 4th and i sware i heard the wheels spin for a sec. after 2 more runs and me beating him all 4 times he was like your car is way faster than mines im going home now. that is some addictive shit, i never raced my car like that just screwed around on the highway a few times nothing big, but damn the guy asked me to run him, so what was i to say? be a bitch and be like no, i know i dont have the fastest car in here and alot of u guys are running some crazy numbers but i would race a ss is the guy called me out....ill get murdered no doubt but ill try an give him a run u know. just thought id share that story it just seemed like the right place to post this because im sure my friends dont wanna hear about it lol

i went with the 3.23's and they gave me a better jump from a dig along with the exaust i re-done a month after i got the car cold air intake with airscoop running behind the groundeffects in the front new plugs and wires new springs, next week shes getting an ss hood a new paint job and im starting on everything i need to get her ready 2 be sprayed because im going with a 100 shot of nitrous,2morrow adding control arms, strut tower brace and subframe connectors ( got bless tax time) lol, but im doing all that i can to get as much power out of a 3800 that i can without killing it, i want a program for the car but i cant find one for this car at all dioblo dont even make a chip 4 it so im lost on that one. and 2day im looking at a few z 28's so i can have a beast i have things in mind for that car. but like i said im not breaking any records with her but im sure shes running a hell of alot better than it was stock and im happy with the performance so far

i thought that hypertech made a programmer for the 3.8. dont quote me on that, but i remember when i was lookin for one that someone made a tuner for the 3.8, cause they're all OBDII...

Your not blind unless its contagious. Also I would have possibly gone with 3.42's since didn't you originally have 3.08's but I am sure they gave you a slight advantage over stock.

it was another six but he wouldnt tell me everything he did to it, i know he did something to the engine because it was out the car a few months ago and he was doing something to it i dont think i payed it any attention when i go to the shop im mostly watching them dyno cars or buying stuff. and the gears was a good deal they were in another car that was owned by a guy in the club so he sold the entire rear end for cheap thats why i ended up with those gears but they are much better than what i had.

Our cars don't have chips, just computers. The best deal I have found so far in my searching is to send your PCM r any PCM to texas speed for a custom tune, you send it to them with a list of mods and like $275 i think. The day they recieve it they program it and ship itback and I've heard nothing but good things. Camarov6.com message boareds can be a pain but also are a really good resource.

What size/brand exhaust did you get?

What brand suspension compnents? And I hope you got the weld-on SFCs not bolt-on.
