1995 corolla 3sgte swap

hey....looking for some input on taking my 7afe engine out of my 1995 corolla and throwing in a 3sgte 2nd gen celica engine ... the reason why i thought of this is beacuse some celicas come with a 7afe corolla engine and the same celicas come with a 3sgte motor ... so this shows that the frame on both cars are the same and that its should be an easy swap!!! any ideas .... any thoughts on this ..... has anyone done this yet!!! the only question is ..would my 7afe manual tranny fit on the 3sgte block ....
since all 3sgte blocks come with an AWD tranny and my corolla comes with a 2wd tranny ...... so anyone with knowledge on this mod ... and info would be appreciated ..... as far as i know... a 3sgte computer and wiring harness would have to be installed with the 3sgte swap .... im not even sure???!!!!!!! i am just assumin things here. ... so help!!! thanx

sounds like the way to go. Although I wonder if you could use the stock tranny, axleshafts and brakes and suspension, etc. due to the extra power? I almost thought about doing that swap to my 98 corolla but gave up on the idea.

I havent headr of anyone doing that kind of swap before. There is a place in Sacramento, Ca that sells front JDM clips. Venus Auto Parts. I've seen a complete front Celica turbo clip. They will have some information for you also on what swaps you can do. Goodluck...
