alternator problems

Has anyone else had any issues whith their alternator? I have a 91 turbo w/ PS, and within 3000 miles i've had to replce mine twice.

That is highly unusual. Have you had someone test the alternator? Maybe the cables are bad, not the actual unit ... or maybe someone installed the belt to tight on your first new one.
