jdm 7m-ge

i decided to get a new motor for my 88 supra cuz ive got a terrible rod knock. now im just beatin on the motor for as long as it lasts. i want to get a used jdm 7m-ge. do i need a different ecu or wiring harness for the jdm motor?

Nope, everything will be a straight swap. You won't even have to take the ECU or wiring harness out of the car when you swap the engines. Just unbolt the upper manifolds from both engines and pull the harness' out. Lay it over the windsheild or something and don't forget to mark sensors and plugs with masking tape so you don't forget where they go when you're plugging the harness up to the JDM engine.
