#1. Slotted or X-drilled rotors don't improve braking power, they reduce brake fade. Better pads and bigger/stronger calipers are what improve braking power.
#2. I don't get the G35 coupe's manual tranny, it's apperently horrible, yet the 350Z on is one of the best out there, ther problem is, the two are basically the same fucking car!
#3. ....what's an FMU? I'm guessing it's fuel management unit....lol Is an S-AFC an FMU?

Yea don't do slotted or cross-drilled on the street unless you want the bling. They are for track cars that really need the brake fade resistance. Want good braking power? 300zx everything for brakes in your car. Master cylinder, calipers, rotors, stainless brake lines, DOT5 fluid, and some grippy tires. Tires are one of the best all around performance enhancing mods you can do.
A Fuel Manangement Unit(FMU) is a device that increases fuel pressure for each 1 psi of boost you run. 8:1 FMU increases fuel pressure by 8psi for each 1 psi of boost seen. Cheap and no tuning involvoed.
No a FMU is not a SAFC. Those are considered piggyback fuel computers. They alter the MAFS voltage to trick the ECU into controlling bigger injectors.
You may want 250-300whp, but you should start with a small setup. This allows you to work out the bugs. You don't want some of the small things that happen to happen under 12-13psi. I think 5psi is a good starting point. By the horsepower calculator using my MPH in the quarter, I made 186whp with 5psi unintercooled running a shitty coil. Trust me, 5psi will put a smile on your face for a little while.
A compression test basically gives you an idea of the condition of your engine when interperated properly. Even if your brother was very easy on the car and did oil changes properly, its possible for the engine to be in bad shape. Not likely, but possible. A leakdown test is an alternative.

So basically what your saying: Try not to save money by buying the best stuff(because my set up wont allow it/cant take it) now because I might mess my engine up, therefore, I have to start small and buy as I progress thus spending more money. DAMN!!!
Secondly, I was thinking about putting the 300ZX brake components but I thought that mods were necessary to make them fit. Cuz like u said I'm not gonna be using it for the race track probably just for the strip/street.

FMU is $100. SAFC, 370cc injectors, and a wideband are going to run at least $600 on a calm day. Do you wanna pay an extra $100 to get your setup running much sooner? It won't mess your engine up by getting the fuel controller and injectors first, but theres more to just plug&play with that stuff. It requires understanding how to interperate data, what to watch for, and some time. It does not require and will not accept too many mistakes. A FMU is fuel tuning for dummies. Doofy from Scary Movie could install one and have it work.
Speed=how much money you have to spend. And I'm telling you, start off with 5psi for a while.

as far as i know there aren't any mods you need to do for the 4-lug z32 brake conversion.. its fairly simple.. you'd need to remove the dust cover and put a spacer in so the rim fits with the huge caliper but thats about it..

Im not too sure if its just that easy D Bo. I wouldnt even know where to take the rotors to get redrilled.

no a stock g35 coupe is not that fast. A 250 whp 240 will smoke a stock auto g35 coupe. Now if he gets some work done to it he definently has the capability to blow you away...but chances are he wont spend the money because there really arnt to many upgrades for it yet and all of them are waaaaaay expensive as far as forced induction goes. I wouldnt have any worries about a g35....yet.
lol shit didnt notice page 5 my bad.
