Help!!!!

ok, here it is... i bought an 89 rs 5.0 tbi a month and a half ago. since then i've had the egr valve, plugs, wires, air filter, and distributor replaced, yesterday i was driving and the care just died, like it had been turned off. i tried to restart it for bout 30 mins, and finally gave up n walked home :| this morning i went n the car started right up. drove it home, and bout an hour later met a friend for lunch. on the way there car ran fine. when i left after lunch i made it about 100 yards and the car died again. after about 15-20 mins of tryin to restart it fired and i made it home... im thinkin the fuel pump is goin out?? any suggestions? i've already sunk over 1100 bucks into this thing in less than two months in parts and labor :((

Fuel pump is easy enough thing to check(just run the fuel pressure) but it sounds more like a electrical problem to me. Also welcome to the forum

thanks for the welcome... well i thought bout that but when it dies, it'll turn over fine, all the accessories still function, it just wont actually start. that is why i thought maybe its not gettin fuel... but hell i dunno. dats why i came here :D

I had the same prob with my 90iroc and it was the fuel pump and it is a bitch to get the tank down it took me about 4 hours if it is the pump and i think it is you will have fun with it.

LOL great. so where exactly is the fuel pump n how do i go about changing it?
