Instrument module removal

I have a 99 GMC Sierra and some of my dashboard lights are out. The gearshift/odometer indicator is also out most of the time. Does anyone know the procedure for getting the instrument panel module out of the dash?

not sure about yours but if it is like my 95. you need to reposition the steering wheel down to it's lowest setting. then very easily. pry the trimcover surrounding the gage cluster,off starting from the bottom cencer. it is just held in place by clips that pop out and snap back in.work your way around slowely and carefully so you don'w snap them off. once the cover plate is moved out of the way, there are just a few screws holding the entire gage cluster in place, it comes out in one piece. hope this might help..
