yea,i was wondering if the block on the gsr and the ls is the same.also, if you put a gsr head or a b16 head does that mean it will rev to 8000 or will it rev to 6700?

yes, you will get the redline of the gsr or whatever you're getting the head from

but be advise because, your new head would let you rev to the 8thousands but your car's oil and cooling system might not be able to keep up at those rpms. Overheating might occur

I think the LS block has a little more cc's than the GS-R block.

so the block can take the high reving of vtec? what kind of hp/torque gains can you expect?

LSVTEC is supposed to have a redline of 9000 RPM. The LS motor has more torque and is stronger than a GSR making it being able to rev higher.

LS and GSR blocks are different by a lot. not just compression ratio/ stroke/crank etc. GSR is made w/ other improvements like oil squirters.
