alright . . i jus bought this cd player for my shitty 95 cavalier, i took the dash apart right, then i took the old radio out and looked @ the wires like wtf, my stepdad tried helping me, but all he did was cut the wires, so i had 2 go to a junkyard and buy the wire harness or w/e its called and i tried hooking the wires back up and that worked out ok. then i hooked the cd player wires up and got it to turn on but no sound came out *grrrr* so now im completely stuck and dont wanna spend 50 bucks to have some douchebag install it for me, can anyone help. please =/ (my friend told me u have to push the reset button after u hook up all the wires and stuff )

Buy yourself a aftermarket wire harness that you can wire up to your aftermarket stereo. The wires tell you what is what so this will make your life alot easier and the harness itself only cost a few bucks. So much easier to just plug into your factory harness also.Never try to hard wire into the factory harness.

douchebag is an awfully strong word considering i'd be one of those douchebags. Yeah $50 may seem like alot but believe me after fixing so many screwups by little pissants, $50 isn't very much money when you consider the amount of migraine medication needed to fix something someone THOUGHT they could do. So speaking for all the car audio installers, we do not appreciate being called douchebags just cuz maybe we know something u don't.
