'94 Console Disassembly...

Anyone know exactly how to remove the console in the '94 Firebird? I can't even figure out how to get the shift handle off. The reason I'm needing to know is because the shifter catches on something inside the console when trying to shift from park, and won't move until you mess around with it for a while...thanks in advance.

The shifter knob will come off by pulling it back inot like 1st or 2nd. Next, look under the knob on the front side of it, there will be a small clip. Pull it out with a set of plyers or something then the knob should lift right off.
