91 cylinder ignition lock

Here is my dillemma. When I put the key in the ignition, it will not even turn to the ACC position. I have tried wiggling it, sliding it out just the tiniest bit in the case the tumblers are worn, putting some wd40 in there, wiggling the sterring wheel back and forth, and trying the other key, but nothing seems to work. I ordered a new cylinder lock, but to remove the old one, it has to be in the ACC position! :banghead: Can anyone give any advice to a newbie? Thanks :)

I wouldnt use wd40 but rather use a powdered graphite, i had the same problem with my VR4 a few years ago and it seemed to help it very quickly.

We finally got it fixed about 3 weeks ago. We had to drill out the cylinder, and since that in turn destroyed the peice behind it, we replaced both. The cylinder was about 52 USD and we bought the collar piece at a junkyard. It wasn't fixable anyway.
